Job Description

New Flows (NF) division’s charter is to capture new sources of money movement through card and non-card flows, including Visa Business Solutions, Government Solutions and Visa Direct which presents an enormous growth opportunity. Our global clients and partners deploy our solutions to serve the needs of Small Businesses, Middle Market Clients, Large Corporate Clients, Multi Nationals and Governments.

Digital solutions and Business Reporting are integral parts of solution that provide small business clients a rich set of functionalities. We are looking for Mobile Developers to join our Small Business engineering team as Staff Software Engineer (Mobile App Development) based out of Bangalore, India.

Primary responsibilities for this role will include:

• Design and develop critical systems with high-availability and high performance.
• Design, code and integrate native Mobile apps and restful APIs with different application components.
• Knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies and understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Interested in Innovation and ideation. Contribute to development of new products by building quick POCs and converting ideas into real products.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior team members of the team.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and exceeds expectations while applying the latest available tools and technology.
• Help developer efficiencies by utilizing Continuous Integration/Development tools, test automation frameworks and other related items.
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner
• Work in Agile/Scrum teams and follow the guidelines.
• Provide subject matter expertise for the Android platform.
• Develop mobile framework and UI based on best practices.
• Have experience in building SDK’s as well as Integrating and working with third party SDK’s and libraries
• Be a proactive player and have a passion for delivering zero defect high quality code.
• Identify opportunities for future enhancements and refinements to products, technology, standards, best practices and development methodologies

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. 8 plus years of software industry work experience.
• Strong Expertise in Android Development and knowledge of IOS Development is a plus.
• Experience with Git, Maven, MVI ,MVVM architecture and Clean Architecture, dependency injection using Dagger.
• Strong Java expertise needed.
• Experience in building Android Application using Android Studio, Java, Koltin, Rx Java
• Knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available
• Experience with REST microservices and databases is a plus.
• Previous experience with financial services/payments processing experiences a big plus.
